Title: Sons of Winter
Summary: warning: spoilers. Warning : sansan.
Originally a fanfic idea, Sons of Winter is placed 15 years after the events in asoiaf. We must make some guesses about what came of the many different character conflicts but the main story of this thread is centered around the sons of Sansa Stark, lady of Winterfell.
History up until now: Sansa Stark was wed a second time to Harold Harding who was a good lord and husband. After taking power of the Eyrie, Harold leaves to swear fealty to the Lannister boy king but his travels are interupted in the riverlands where he discovers a man on an island called the Quiet Isle. When he brings the hound before his lady wife she surprises him by welcoming the man and asking for his sword rather than his head. Harold then chooses nor to bend his knee and instead turns north to win back Sansa's rightful seat. After years of battle they overtook Moat Cailin and gathered bannermen enough to take Deepwood Motte and held it as their seat while a powerchange at Last Hearth, giving them some power up above Winterfell. As they began to close in on the Boltons, Sansa declares that she is pregnant and is given Sandor Clegane as a protector.
Both she and Clegane seemed to be both relieved and upset by this change, it was no secret that the two were close and that Clegane often had a word in on Lord and Lady Harding's council. But this removed him from the battlefield and from Lord Harding's side.
Harold captures the Dreadfort and eagerly moves forward to take Winterfell. Winterfell is won but at the costof many lives including Lord Harding himself.
Sansa takes control of the ruin of Winterfell and births her red haired son heir to the Eyrie, riverlands and the North. She finds comfort and soon love in her companion Sandor Clegane but they do not marry for two more years. After battling and building through the winter and white walkers slipping down from from the wall Sansa discovers she is pregnant and in an act to preserve her image, she convinces Clegane to be her husband and lord consort.
Fifteen years later Winterfell is rebuilt stronger than ever, Wintertown is repopulating and the longest winter in history is finally lifting.
