"I am Shireen of House Baratheon, and this is the Lady Melisandre." Shireen said, slightly scared of the frantic and wild state of the young woman. But she held herself tall and refused to show signs of weakness-- or at least the bulk of them anyway. That was not how her father would act in such a situation, he was practical and always searching for the most efficient ways to deal with problems. Shireen was far from able to do what her father did, but she could try and uphold their name by being cautious and dealing with the situation at the same time. "You are currently in Dragonstone after having fainted on our doorstep we have decided to take you in and nurse you to health. So please, before we are forced to turn to restraints for your own safety as well as our own I would ask again that you put the knife down." Shireen tried to reason with her but from behind she felt the guards grip the pommel of their swords more tightly and advanced slowly.

Joffrey looked down on his betrothed and though he kept a straight face, there was a part of him inside grinning a sick and twisted smile as he watched the pretty little thing grovel before him. The overwhelming sense of power and pride filled him with an incomparable sense of fulfilment and thrill, and he started to comprehend that everyone was beneath him now. Of course, he had his mother and his Council to advise him but they were still nothing more than ants under his boot. It served them all right for years of mistreatment and being laughed at, they would know that King Joffrey was not to be messed with nor was he but a boy now. But for the moment he didn't ignore such feelings but he came back to the matter on hand and looked at the stupid Stark bitch.
"Treason! Your grace, she defends a traitor and a liar!" Maester Pycelle called out at her words to which Joffrey frowned at him and sent him a silencing stare.
"I wish to hear what the Lady Stark has to say on the matter." Joffrey said and looked to his Lady. He concealed it, but hearing her beg and plead filled him with such pleasure. But there was something more that, a small insignificant part of him that thought maybe he should listen to his betrothed, maybe she deserved that-- No, that was not how his father nor his mother had done and it would be foolish for him to be the weak link in the family.
"Do you deny your father's crimes?" Lord Baelish's voice came from behind him and Joffrey looked to the girl with green eyes deep in thought.

Cersei frowned slightly at first and whilst she may understand he daughter's cold attitude, she could hardly bear it. It was only after Myrcella arrived that she saw the happiness resurface in her daughter's face and Cersei could not help but laugh lightly herself upon seeing both children so satisfied and happy. She continued rrunning her fingers through Loreena's hair though paused as she went to hug Myrcella.
"Have you been all right darling?" Cersei asked in a voice sweet as sugar. And she looked down guiltily as she said so. "I know it's hard being confined to this room, but there are so many people who are looking to use you and harm you and I don't want you getting hurt above all." Cersei said wrapping her arms protectively around her daughter and holding her as though she could make all of this go away suddenly and have Loreena out of trouble. "You mean the world to me--" Cersei barely managed to whisper to her daughter.
