Joffrey snorted at his sister's question, he wasn't sure to be entirely honest. But it wasn't as though he'd ever admit that to his sister- or to anyone for that matter. In fact, he was so sick of everyone around me telling him what he should and shouldn't do and what was right and wrong. His parents had given him a messed up view of what was right and wrong-- he still distinctly remembered the sheer force of the blow his father had delivered when he had slapped him across the face for being badly behaved, he remembered the taste of blood in his mouth, his tongue passing over the several gap where his teeth were now missing and the swelling of his cheek until he could hardly see out of his left eye. And now this was Joffrey's turn to give the rest of the world a massive slap.
"No. I won't." Were the only words to leave Joffrey's mouth. He was still having doubts about the decision-- but surely his reasons were justified? He was merely doing what his father had taught him long ago.
---------
"Lady Melisandre, I was warned by our young princess that there had been an incident within our castle that a young girl had collapsed outside the castle gates. As much as this irks you, it is my duty as much as yours to make sure that this Keep is safe from harm." Lord Monford replied stiffly, refusing to be intimidated by the red priestess. He had as much right as her to be here and wouldn't abandon his duty because she began to hiss at him like so.
He turned his attention back to the girl and looked over her. At the mention of 'herbal rememdies', he gathered she was lying. The red bitch had no knowledge of herbal remedies, only blood magic and the twisted gifts given to her by her lord. "Well now that you are feeling better, you might want to recount just what had happened before you collapsed at our gates." He asked her, already growing suspicious of her answer due to his distrust in everything she had told him so far.
