TO OTHER MEMBERS...
*Be Respectful: We're all here to have a bit of fun, so the last thing we want is people flaming and hating on others. Please give everyone a chance to express their opinions as we are all entitled to one. If you are perhaps offended by a post, tell the staff and don't start an argument.
*Don't Discriminate: That being said, if your post deliberately targets a group of people or a specific person then you are breaking the rules and could have your account deleted if you take things too far.
ROLE-PLAYING ETIQUETTE...
*Word Count: Pff! Word count, schmord count-- we think it's nice to match the person you RP with but we're pretty relaxed on this front. Just try and be a little descriptive so your partner can work with something. However if the RP leader asks for a certain level of RP then please respect it.
*God-Modding: Your character, Unless you are making a complete parody of all that nonsense is not perfect. I mean GRRM showed us just how messed up we all are deep deep down so let's put him up as our example. God-modding is a buzz kill, don't do it kids. And do you know what's also not cool? Controlling other characters that aren't your own...
*Waiting: Please wait for all members of a thread to reply before you make your next post. It's like taking everything in turns. If another member is absent then you are free to continue after a minimum period of 2 days waiting.
ROLE-PLAYING POST CONTENT...
*Settings: Westeros is a medieval-style area and so please try and stick to the settings [eg. No mobile phones].
*NPCs: NPCs are welcome here as they usually spice up a thread, but you are not to permanently use them.
*Sex, Swearing and Violence: I'm willing to be a little relaxed on this front and you are allowed to occasionally swear, so long as there aren't swear words in every other sentence. For violence, you may describe some pretty gory details but I don't want anything overly graphic and I don't want every post to contain disgusting details. As for sex, I'll allow passionate kisses and a very light description of what's going on but I don't want graphic details.
*Narrative style: Please use correct grammar and spelling and write in the 3rd person narrative, past tense.
ON THE FORUM...
*Have Fun: Don't think, just do it.
*No spamming: Not tolerated at all and will be severely punished.
*Advertising: The advertising thread is guest-friendly and advertising should stay in that thread, I don't want to see it anywhere else.
PUNISHMENTS...
*Several warnings will be issued if you fail to comply but continuing to do so will result in you being banned from the site.
STAFF INTERVENTIONS...
*Unfair?: If any of these rules are broken, the Staff will send a warning to the person in question. If a member continuously breaks forum rules, then the account will be deleted. However, if a member of Staff is unjustly punishing you, consult the Admin or another Staff member.
